L.A.T.E. Night Thursday: Altered Board Book
$40; $30 Members
In this fun and creative new class, you'll transform a recycled hardbound board book into your own unique story through collage. Using magazines, images, and a variety of mixed media materials, you'll craft a one-of-a-kind book that reflects your imagination and voice.
All materials are provided, but feel free to bring personal images or items you'd like to include.

L.A.T.E. Night Thursday: Teresa Dunlap | Weaving on a Bowl
$75; $60 Members
Using carefully prepared materials, participants will learn to attach and coil longleaf pine needles around a gourd, crafting a unique and functional bowl. All materials will be provided, including hand-harvested longleaf pine needles from the sandhills of South Carolina. This workshop welcomes all experience levels as we explore the traditional art of coiled basketry, blending natural materials into a beautifully crafted piece.

Teen Workshop: Mask Making (Ages 13-18)
$30 or $20 Members
Teens will explore the history of mask-making across cultures and create one or two masks using a variety of materials and techniques. They’ll experiment with sculpting, painting, and embellishing to design unique pieces that blend historical inspiration with personal creativity.

Jewelry Making with Beckee from Catawba Nation
$45; $35 Members
Participants will create a pair of earrings using longleaf pine needles, artificial sinew, and a sewing needle. All materials are provided. Beckee Garris is a citizen of the Catawba Indian Nation. She is the mother of 3, grandmother of 6, and great grandmother of 4. She makes traditional Catawba pottery, reed baskets and jewelry, and miniature baskets using longleaf pine needles.

Immerse yourself in the art of printmaking and master its fundamental techniques. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn to create mono prints and linoleum cut prints. Students will delve into the process of operating a Takach etching press, and exploring the tactile nature of creating printed pieces. Additionally, an engaging demonstration will showcase various image-making techniques that utilize the press, allowing you to expand your creative repertoire in this traditional art form.

About Emily
I’m Emily Drew Mash. I am an artist, designer, teacher living in the foothills of NC. My formal education is in fine art with a specialty in intaglio printmaking from Wake Forest University. I have worked in various forms of printmaking including intaglio, lithography, monotype, linocut, and woodcut. My prints have been on display in both solo and group shows. My work is part of the permanent collection of Wake Forest University and private collections around the world. I have been sharing my love for printmaking with fellow artists as an instructor since 2016.

Join Susan Gant for a 3-day beginner watercolor workshop and explore fundamental techniques in a supportive environment. All brushes will be provided, and upon registration, you'll receive a list of recommended paper and paint materials to bring. Space is limited—register early! No experience needed!
Susan is a watercolor artist for over 30 years. She has studied not only locally, but in Ireland and Italy and has worked with several nationally recognized watercolorists Marilyn Hughey Phillis, Skip Lawrence, and Joe Miller. She is a Signature member of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina, a member of Uni4 Artists, and Member/Officer of Foothills Painter.
