Hickory Museum of Art is the North Carolina host site for the National Scrollathon — a visionary community art project by acclaimed artists William and Stephen Ladd, created in honor of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026.
We want YOU to be part of it!
Join us for one of our inspiring, hands-on workshops and contribute to a powerful, nationwide collaborative artwork. Each one-hour session gives participants the opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind commemorative scroll to take home, while also contributing to a monumental installation that will be unveiled in Washington, D.C. in 2026. We are honored to welcome William and Stephen to Hickory, where they will personally lead these special workshops. Find out more here.
Workshops are FREE, but pre-registration is required. To sign up, click on one of the workshop buttons below. If your preferred time slot is full, you’ll have the option to join a waitlist. Please note, all participants must complete a Participation Form which will be emailed to you.
As of Friday, November 14 there are still spaces left in the 4 pm & 5 pm workshops.
