Homeschool Art in HMA’s New Education Spaces

HMA’s homeschool program blends art basics, technique, and self-expression — all in a supportive environment where homeschool students can learn, create, and connect. We will explore how artists use line, color, shape, texture, and space to express ideas. From there, students dive into hands-on projects using a variety of media — including drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking — designed to build foundational skills, spark imagination, and encourage creative thinking.

Homeschool Art Class Open House

Then hop over to Catawba Science Center for their Open House from 1-2:30 PM.

First AND Third Mondays of each month.

  • Registration for non-members will open on August 26th.

  • Pre-registration required one week in advance of first class.

  • Ages 5 years and older (must be 5 by 10/1/2026)

  • HMA Members: $30 per month or $255 for the full year (1 Class in September; $15)

  • Non-Members: $40 per month or $340 for the full year (1 Class in September; $20)

*Due to holidays, September will include one class only. All other months are billed at the full monthly rate and cannot be prorated.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations for a refund minus a $10 registration fee must be made 4 weeks in advance. If canceled 3 weeks in advance, you will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be made after that.

NOTES

  • Registration and payment required. Single-month pre-registration is required one week in advance of the first class.

  • Refunds will not be paid for missed classes.

  • Catawba Science Center offers a separate membership apart from HMA.
