  • Keiser Room in the West Wing on the SALT Block 243 3rd Ave NE Hickory United States (map)

Andy Warhol—painter, graphic artist and filmmaker, an American cultural icon.

After his death his net worth was equal to $220 million dollars and over six thousand people turned up at Sotheby’s auction house in New York to participate in the estate auction. When Fran Lebowitz was asked how Andy might be feeling about the auction she said “Andy must be so furious that he is dead”.

Join us as we look into the life of America’s leading Pop Artist and learn about his life, art and impact on American culture and how his influence lives on.

Carl Shatley is an accomplished educator, lecturer and artist who holds a Master of Arts degree from Duke University in History and Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from Greensboro College.
