Painting Roses for Mother’s Day
MATERIALS
White Paper
Watercolors
Scissors
Construction Paper
Glue Stick
Markers
Black Sharpie
CREATE
Use a scrap piece of construction paper approximately 3” x 4” or cut a full sheet into four pieces and use one piece.
Fold the paper in half, and then drawing away from the fold, draw half of a vase shape.
Now, use your scissors to cut out the vase shape.
Using your colored markers, draw a design onto your vase.
Glue your vase onto the bottom of the white paper.
Using your black Sharpie, begin to draw large roses around your paper like the ones you saw in the video. Draw several roses and buds. Don't draw the stems yet.
Now, draw stems down from your flowers into the vase.
Draw leaves around the flowers and up the stems of the roses.
Using your watercolors, choose a color for your roses and paint them in.
Paint your leaves.
After the paint has dried, sign and date your artwork on the front for your mother!
