Text promoting 'Grow the Legacy' for the Hickory Museum of Art 2025/2026 Annual Fund with shadowed, stylized background.

Hickory Museum of Art’s Board of Trustees and Team thank YOU for your support and commitment to our mission. Because of your support, HMA has reached what may be the most exciting and pivotal moment in our 81+ year history.

This year will be unlike any other, a transitional year of progression towards a grander future, and for the first time ever, will feature a museum that will be completely On the Go. We can truly fulfill our Art for All mission this year by taking our programming, classes, artwork, and team out into the community and personally connecting with our audiences in a fresh way. There are no sabbaticals as the team will work harder than ever to grow relationships and continue best practice in all museum operations. This continued work is vital to our existence, and your support will make that possible.

Your contribution to the Annual Fund will sustain the momentum and keep us engaged with the community even while the existing physical museum is closed for renovation. Your support will help us grow.

This year, HMA will:

  • Host local artist exhibitions, teach classes, maintain existing programming, create new opportunities for learning, and provide a free Make and Take station for visitors at our new satellite museum space at Valley Hills Mall.

  • Collaborate with local schools, Member Partners, recreation centers, businesses, restaurants and more.

  • Work behind the scenes to help the renovation team create a new museum that begins with an updated entrance experience and continues throughout the entire space.

  • Retain the team necessary to not only stay engaged with the community but also move the 2700+ works in our Permanent Collection and prepare for the reopen.

Will you help Grow the Legacy? Will you help us take HMA to the next level?

We ask kindly that you consider donating this year as we work to stay connected and do the necessary work to present the exciting upcoming chapter in Hickory Museum of Art’s story. Donations received by our Fiscal Year End (June 2026) will be reflected on the monitor in our Valley Hills Mall space and we’ll be tracking our progress digitally. Your recognition of creativity’s important role in our community is greatly appreciated. Investing in Hickory Museum of Art ensures the sustainability of our incredible momentum. The best is yet to come!
